DoS Devices by Spamming BLE
How to crash phones & other devices by spamming Bluetooth signals.
This attack works by broadcasting fake Bluetooth Low Energy connection requests impersonating devices, which are received by Android, iPhone or Windows devices to pair with devices like wireless earbuds, smart watches and speakers. It uses the "Fast Pair" protocol on Android or "Swift Pair" on Windows and can send fake Bluetooth requests in less than a second. Fast Pair allows your Bluetooth devices to connect to your phone when you power them on without having to manually pair them.
DoS BLE Devices with Android
If you are using Android, then you can spam BLE connection requests to other devices using an app, named Bluetooth LE Spam. To download it, just go to https://github.com/simondankelmann/Bluetooth-LE-Spam/releases/latest and click on app-release.apk under the Assets folder. After you've downloaded the .apk, you need to allow your browser to install unknown apps, and install the .apk.
After all of that is done, run the app, and allow all of the permission requests. Then on the bottom of the app you will find a tab called "Advertise", and bellow it you will find all of the devices you can spam the BLE connection requests to.
DoS BLE Devices with PortaPack
To spam devices with Bluetooth requests using PortaPack, you will need to install the Mayhem firmware onto the PortaPack. After you have the Mayhem firmware installed, you can just go Transmit, BLESpam.
